That’s what I am.
When I see your delight at ordinary tasks.
I am in wonder all the time.
You fumbled on your feet.
Your balance affected by your seizures.
Yet you are determined to keep going.
You keep your hands steady.
You keep your head held high.
And your smile is your balance.
It keeps you on your toes!
My shabbos food tasted different this week.
You wanted to cook right by my side.
Carrots tossed in, potatoes and onions,
yet your ‘spice of life’ made my day.
Thank you Chaim Boruch for teaching me.
For teaching me how to cook shabbos…
and for showing me a new ‘Spice in Life’.
